Voltage = batteries in series
A 24V bank is two 12V units in series, 48V is four, and so on. Your inverter or UPS decides the bank voltage.
Ah = how long it lasts
Amp-hour rating sets runtime. Bigger Ah, or more strings in parallel, means longer backup for the same load.
Match, don’t mix
Batteries in a bank should be the same type, rating, and age — one weak unit drags the whole string down.
Cared for, a good lead-acid bank typically gives a few years of dependable service — SMF at the shorter end, tubular longer. Rating and duty cycle matter more than the brand on the label.

If you want zero maintenance and cuts are short, SMF is the convenient choice. If outages are long or daily, tubular lasts longer and handles deeper discharge — worth the top-ups. Tell us your runtime and we’ll advise honestly.
Do you publish prices?+
No — every bank is sized to its load, voltage, and runtime, so a list price would be misleading. Share your setup and we quote individually, usually with a same-day callback.
Can I mix old and new batteries in one bank?+
We don’t recommend it. A bank performs to its weakest unit, so mixing ages or types drags everything down and shortens overall life. Replace the string together.
How long will a new bank last?+
It depends on type, rating, temperature, and how hard you cycle it — a few years is typical, tubular at the longer end. We give you a realistic figure for your actual load, not a best-case number.
What is the old-battery buy-back?+
Your existing batteries have scrap and core value. We assess them, credit that against your new bank, and handle responsible disposal — so you don’t deal with a separate scrap dealer.
Should I just switch to lithium (LFP)?+
Sometimes. If you cycle daily, run a larger bank, or replace every 3–4 years, LFP’s ten-year math often wins. If your backup is small and infrequent, lead-acid is still the sensible buy. We’ll show you both — no upsell.
Do you install, or just supply?+
Both. We supply and install properly — correct sizing, clean wiring, safe placement and ventilation — because most early battery failures trace back to installation, not the cell.
