Tall tubular batteries are flooded lead-acid units built for deeper discharge and regular inverter duty. Their plate construction and electrolyte reserve make them a practical choice where backup is used often and runtime matters.

They do require distilled-water top-ups, sensible ventilation, and correct charging. Give them that care and they generally offer the longest working life of the common lead-acid choices.
